What is Run Club Direct?
Run Club Direct is a directory of running groups, weekly club runs, public events, and community-built routes across major U.S. cities. We help runners find the right crew by city, pace, terrain, and vibe, and give club owners a place to be discovered.
How do I find a run club near me?
Type your city or ZIP into the location bar at the top of the page, then browse the clubs list, explore the interactive map, or visit Running Groups Near Me. The location you pick is remembered for 30 days, so the homepage, events feed, and route list all adapt to where you are.
Is it free to use?
Yes. For runners, everything is free: searching, browsing clubs, viewing routes, saving favorites, and showing up to runs. Clubs, events, and routes are all free to list. The site is funded by brand sponsorships, which appear as clearly labeled placements next to organic content.
How do I add my run club to the directory?
Head to our For Club Owners page and search for your club. If it's already listed, you can claim it. If not, submit it with your Instagram handle, city, and a few category tags, then verify ownership by posting a short code to your IG bio.
How do I claim a club listing I own?
Open your club's page and click Claim this club to get a six-character verification code (e.g., RCD-XYZ123). Paste that code anywhere in your Instagram bio, click Verify now, and we'll scrape the bio to auto-approve your claim, with no DMs or waiting around.
What's the difference between an event and a club run?
Events are standalone happenings (races, charity 5Ks, organized fun runs) that anyone can sign up for via a registration link. Club runs are the recurring weekly meetups a club hosts (Tuesday taproom, Saturday long run, etc.), and they appear on the club's page as well as the shared events calendar.
How do I post an event?
Sign in and open our post-an-event form. Fill in the details and publish. Listings are free. If you've claimed a club, the form will auto-attribute the event to your listing so it appears on your club's page and shares the SEO credit.
How are clubs verified, and how do I report bad info?
Clubs earn a Verified badge once their owner completes the Instagram-bio claim flow; older listings without recent updates also show a Not recently verified pill so you know to take them with a grain of salt. Every club, event, review, and route also has a Report button. Pick a reason, add a note, and our team reviews it in the moderation queue.
